Cat cremation costs
| Weight / type | Price |
|---|---|
| Cats | £175 |
| Giant rabbits & similar | £175 |
Every price above is for an individual cremation only — your pet is never cremated with any other animal, so the ashes returned to you are your pet's alone. Collection from your vet or home is available for a fee based on distance and time, which includes hand delivery of the ashes back to you or your registered vet. Bringing your pet to us directly carries no extra charge.
What to expect
As all aspects of our cat cremation service are carried out on-site here in Cwmbran, we can guarantee a dignified and personal approach throughout. After an individual cremation, we prepare your cat's ashes into your chosen casket, urn or scatter box, then arrange for you to collect from Pets @ Rest or for us to hand-deliver them back to your registered veterinary practice.
We're also able to take a paw print or clay paw imprint of your cat before the cremation — just ask a member of our team for details. See paw print options →
Cat Cremation FAQs
What do I do if my pet dies at home?
Call or text us on 07773 323687 and we'll talk you through what happens next. We can collect your pet from your home, or you're welcome to bring them to us directly.
Can you collect my pet?
Yes. We collect from your home or your registered vet across South Wales and the West Country. The collection fee depends on distance and time, and includes hand-delivering the ashes back to you afterwards.
How long does the whole service take?
It varies with how busy we are at the time — please call us and we'll give you an honest, current estimate for your pet.
Can I take my pet's ashes home the same day?
Sometimes, depending on our schedule that day. Please ask when you get in touch and we'll let you know what's possible.
Can I watch the cremation?
Yes, if you'd like to. Just let us know in advance so we can make the arrangements.
How do I know it's my pet's ashes?
We only ever carry out individual cremations — your pet is cremated alone, never with another animal — so the ashes we return are guaranteed to be theirs.
How do I make payment for the service?
We can take payment by card or bank transfer. We'll confirm the details when you book in.
When can I collect my pet's ashes?
We'll let you know an expected date when you bring your pet to us, and give you a call as soon as they're ready.
How do I know what urn to choose?
We keep a range of urns, caskets and scatter boxes at our reception for you to see in person, and we're happy to talk you through the options over the phone too.
Do I need to book an appointment?
It's best to call ahead so we can make sure someone's here to look after you properly, but we understand this is often unplanned — just call and we'll do what we can.
Can I visit the crematorium?
Yes. Our reception area is a quiet, private space where you're welcome to say goodbye before or after the cremation.
